our mission: to demystify, to inform and to inspire
debut is the home of classical music podcasting. We have one simple aim: to inform and inspire the next generation of musicians, to demystify classical music in a world where arts education is becoming increasingly limited.
our story
debut is the brainchild of author and broadcaster, Ellie Ajao, and Royal Academy of Music postgraduate student, James Edgeler. After Ellie's youth-focussed formats were turned down by radio stations time and time again due to funding issues, Ellie and James took it upon themselves to build a classical music broadcasting hub, made by and for young people.

Together they've joined forces with DEBUT Classical to open up classical music, to bring it into the 21st Century and to ensure as many people as possible feel welcome and able to access this genre.
